POETRY BOOKS

periwinkle stars in amaranthine caves. A sea of licorice. The midnight sun.
oil lamps on turmeric mountains. warm mustard seeds in lava stone bracelets
lemon rinds in a pitcher of words. melting wax. vanilla winds.
from deep within the sinking abyss.. powdered sugar. frosted tales.

lucid insanity. murky epiphanies,
Far, far from reality, in her head, perhaps a world.
in the sky, a paper moon.

My Poetry

Surrealism is artwork that draws from the unconscious or with a subject as interpreted by the unconscious. Surrealists believe that the unconscious mind is the source of artistic creativity. Surrealist artists therefore developed techniques to tap the creativity of the unconscious. The results are artworks that can only be described as defying explanation and reason, which is the point of surrealism.

Dark Poetry is poetry that attempts to imagine, explore or reanimate a dark event. It is most often an engagement with events associated with death, disaster, tragedy and/or suffering.

My poetry is showcased on "All Poetry", the world's largest poetry site. I invite you to visit the world of 'Primal Echo' here -

10 Books to get to know me...

Er, well, this list is impossible to create!

Reading has always been one of my greatest passions, and my oldest and fondest memories are built on books. I owe my entire childhood to Enid Blyton, Agatha Christie, and P. G. Wodehouse. Their words built the world of adventure, mystery, love, and laughter that I lived in, and continue to revisit.

A deep bow of gratitude also to Ray Bradbury, Arthur C. Clarke, Philip K. Dick, Neil Gaiman, Yukio Mishima, and Haruki Murakami. Their stories are fantastic, simple, epic, funny, sad, heroic... and have immensely enriched my world.

I am also very fortunate to have discovered the world of Manga. Truly, here is a world that defies all norms, all boundaries, and that has touched me with its incredible stories, its phenomenal art. While near impossible to ever formulate such a list, some of my favourite mangakas are Junji Ito, Osamu Tezuka, Naoki Urasawa, Rumiko Takahashi, Akira Toriyama. And I have favourite manga in a variety of genres, including Astro Boy, Battle Angel Alita, Battle Royale, Berserk, Deadman Wonderland, Dorohedoro, Gantz, Gin Tama, I Am a Hero, Kingdom, Mushishi, Naruto, No. 5, One Piece, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Gourmet, Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou.

I have posted reviews of some of the books I read on my blog - feel free to check them out here -
